The proper care and cleaning of hardwood floors is a common concern for homeowners who want to preserve this beautiful element of their home while keeping it clean and polished at the same time. Fortunately there’s a simple, natural, and cost-effective way to clean and polish hardwood floors. This all-in-one floor treatment involves none other than tea. With a couple of teabags at your disposal, you can have gleaming hardwood floors with very little time and effort

Instructions
1
Measure 1 quart of water in the measuring cup and pour the water into a tea kettle or sauce pan. Heat the water on the stove until it begins to boil.
2
Remove the water from the stove and carefully pour it into the large bowl. Steep 2 black tea bags in the hot water for 3 minutes.
3
Remove and discard the tea bags. Set the water aside until it cools to room temperature.
4
Soak the rag in the bowl of tea. Holding the rag over the bowl, wring it out until it is damp but not dripping.
5
Scrub the floor with the damp rag, working in small circular motions. As you work your way across the floor, you should notice that the floor is noticeably cleaner with a subtle sheen to it where you have wiped it down with the tea.
6
Rinse the cloth in clean water as it gets dirty, then repeat Steps 4 and 5 until you have cleaned the entire floor.
