jacks sunday chili


A hearty, healthy and delicious Chili for a cold winter day!!!!


1/2 lb ground turkey
1/2 lb lean ground beef
3 cups chickpeas
4 cups kidney beans
1 large onion, chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 each of red, yellow and green peppers, seeded and chopped
2 large jalapeño peppers, seeded and chopped fine
3 large tins diced tomatoes and juice
3 tablespoons Chili powder
Salt and Pepper to taste


Brown the turkey and beef, transfer to a large pot
Sauté the onions, peppers and garlic, add to the meat mixture.
Add the jalapeños, diced tomatoes with juice, Chili powder, salt and pepper to the pot and stir until combined. Simmer for 3-4 hours, stirring occasionally. Enjoy!!!
