Kitchen Chaos Chocolate Walnut Brownies

kitchen chaos chocolate brownies

2/3 cup cocoa
1 3/4 cups flour
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 cups butter
4 eggs
2 cups granulated sugar
1 tsp salt
2 tsp vanilla

Preheat your oven to 325 degrees and then coat an 8 inch square baking pan with cooking spray to keep the brownies from sticking.

Sift together the cocoa and the flour. Then melt the butter and set aside to cool slightly. Beat eggs either by hand or with a mixer. Add in the salt and the sugar and mix it well. Next add in the melted butter and the vanilla and mix well. Now you will add the flour/cocoa mixture and make sure it is well combined.

Pour the batter evenly into the prepared cake pan and bake for about 25 – 30 minutes. (test with a toothpick, if it comes out clean your brownies are done)

1/4 cup cocoa, sifted
2 cups powdered sugar, sifted
1/4 cup butter, softened
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 cup milk

Mix all of the frosting ingredients into a bowl, mixing them well. Add more milk if needed or for spreading consistency. Make sure to let the brownies cool before spreading the frosting for a glossy finish. (For a matte finish, let brownies cool completely)
