Now when I make this it make 2 pies, here is what I did.
2 ready made shortbread pie crust or graham cracker crust (i had the shortbread ones in the pantry)
2 LT tub of Butter Pecan Ice Cream (I thought that would go so good with pumpkin )
1 can pumpkin pie filling (with the spices already in it)
Let ice cream get soft so its easier to mix. In a large bowl, mix half the tub of soften ice cream and the can of pumpkin pie filling together.
Pour into your read made crusts. Freeze overnight. (we ate one that I had already had frozen for 6 hrs )
You can top with whipped cream if desired.
