Chocolate Nutella Cake with Homemade Peanut Butter Frosting

1 chocolate devil’s food cake mix + ingredients on the box…
1/4 cup Nutella
1 1/4 cups smooth peanut butter
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
3 tbsp. milk

Mix cake batter as directed on box
Melt Nutella in a microwaveable bowl by microwaving 30 seconds at a time and stirring until melted (about 2 minutes total)
Mix Nutella into cake batter and put into prepared baking dish or cake pans
Bake cake as directed on box

Using an electric mixer, blend butter and peanut butter for several minutes until very soft
Gradually add powdered sugar
After powdered sugar is all added and blended in, add milk
Mix on medium 3-5 minutes

This makes twice as much frosting as needed for a 13×9 cake so next time I would either half the frosting recipe, make a layer cake instead, or make 2 13×9 cakes
