Pumpkin Spice Cookies with Cream Cheese Icing

2 cups flour
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 cup butter
1 egg
1 (15 oz) can of canned pumpkin (not the pie mix)
1/2 tsp ginger
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp ground cinnamon
2 tsp. vanilla

2 – 8oz pkgs of cream cheese
2 cups powdered sugar
1/2 cup butter
1 tsp vanilla

Mix in a small bowl flour, b. soda, b. powder, nutmeg, ginger, cinnamon.
in another bowl mix butter, b. sugar, sugar, vanilla and egg with mixer. will be smooth. stir in pumpkin …..mix well. stir in dry ingredients. it is a moist batter.

bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. let sit in pan for 5 minutes then cool on rack. when fully cool frost with cream cheese frosting. keep refrigerated.

Mix ingredients together for frosting with mixer…frost cooled cookies
